Adrenaline Dominance - What is it?
Adrenaline dominance is your body's fight-or-flight response stuck on auto-pilot. When this happens the whole body suffers. Here are some common effects:
- Central Nervous System Dysregulation – High heart rate, heart palpitations, panic attacks, anxiety, nail biting, jumpy legs, excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis, insomnia, dizziness, lightheadedness (usually from postural hypotension).
- Stomach Slow Down – Interferes with proper acid production leading to poor mineral absorption and poor protein digestion: G.E.R.D., loss of appetite, brittle nails, excessive burping after meals, flatulence.
- Gut Inflammation – Bloating, gas, runny nose, stuffy sinuses, Leaky Gut Syndrome, SIBO, IBS, Candida/Yeast overgrowth.
- Blood Sugar Imbalances – Low blood sugar related shakiness or lightheadedness with missed meals (hypoglycemia). Tired after eating carbohydrates related to inadequate glucose levels inside the cells (insulin resistance).
- Hormonal Disruptions – Estrogen becomes harder to metabolize in the liver leading to increased PMS symptoms, heavy bleeding, breast tenderness, uterine cramping, headaches, and mood disruptions.
- Brain Strain — Trouble focusing, memory loss, poor processing of new information, and unable to turn off the mind at night.
- Toxin Accumulation — Fatigue, acne, itchy skin, irritability, sensitive to smells.
- Altered Immune Function — Allergies to pollens or pets, skin rashes, eczema, slow healing tissues, increased susceptibility to various infections and viruses.
- Nutrient Deficiencies – Can lead to any or all the above.
